REGULATIONS |

1. Voting at Meetings, General Meetings. Two delegates only from each affiliated club shall be entitled to vote. At no meeting shall any person use more than one vote. 2. Duties of Secretary. a) To convene meetings in accordance with the rules. b) To keep accurate minutes of the proceedings at all meetings. c) To attend to correspondence. d) Generally to conduct the business of the Association in accordance with the instructions of the Committee. 3. Duties of Treasurer. a) To keep accurate accounts of all monies recieved on behalf of the Association. b) To discharge the financial liabilities of the Association as instructed by the Committee. c) To prepare a statement of all financial transactions during the year, which statement shall, after being certified by the auditor, be submitted to the Annual General Meeting. d) To compile and keep up-to-date, a register of all affiliated clubs and individuals to each Association Event secretary, not less than 28 days prior to the event. 4. Recognition as Association Records shall be made the fastest performances by Association members at 10, 25, 30, 50 and 100 miles and 12 Hours. Seperate records to be made for Juveniles and Juniors at distances of 10, 25, 30 and 50 miles. Only performances recorded in the North D.C. Open and Association events shall be considered, the onus of making a claim shall rest with the rider(s) and no performance will be considered unless a claim is made. (Association combined club events do not count). Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first claim club, which must be affiliated to the Association. All record claims shall be made to the secretary no later than 30th september of the current year. 5. In the event of objection to any competitor or team in Association events, such objections shall be made in writing to the secretary within 48 hours of the event terminating. Such notice shall include names and addresses of any witnesses. 6. Prize winners shall only select their prizes where such are not presented to the Association. all prizes shall be in accordance with CTT regulations. all prizes must be presented at the appropriate time. Association members only shall be eligible to compete for Association trophies. 7. All clubs shall provide stewards for Association events when requested by the promoting secretary to do so. Clubs failing to cover marshalling duty will be asked to attend the next committee meeting to explain why the marshalling duty was not covered. 8. All courses used for Association Events shall be measured by revolution counter, the constant of which has been taken from the following measured mile. Start at chisel mark in kerbstone alongside the A6 just north of Station Lane, Barton, and 5.9 kerbstones south of the southern end of the kerbstone which is directly in line with the bus stop post which is immediately south of the bus shelter. Proceed northwards along the A6 keeping a line 24" from the kerb to the south end of a rainwater drain cover embossed "T.C. Neville and Sons" opposite a house number plate 838 between LP 126 and LP 127 where the kerbstone has also a chisel mark. 9. All starting and result sheets for Association events and Agendas for General Meetings shall be circulated to the President, Vice Presidents and Committee of the Association. 10. The Association shall have the power to grant such honoraria as may be desirable. 11. Any event held under the auspices of the Association and recieving a minimum entry of 20, must be promoted, but any event recieving less than that number may be cancelled at the discretion of the Committee. 12. The Association provided numbers for all competitors which must be worn throughout the events. 13. The title of Association Champion shall be awarded annually to the member with the highest average speed in any year in Times Trials of 25, 50 and 100 miles and 12 hours. He shall hold the Championship trophy for one year and will be presented with the Association Medal. Medals will also be given to second and third placed riders. Only Association Tricycle, veterans and open events held in the North DC of the CTT will be eligible for the Championship. All claims for this Championship must be made to the Association Recorder not later than 30th September of each year. (Association combined club events do not count). Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first claim club, which must be affiliated to the Association. 13a. If fewer than two 100 mile events are held in any one season on L courses, times recorded in 100 mile events on D and J courses will be eligible for the championship. If more than one 100 mile event is held on L courses in a season, times recorded on D and J courses will not be eligible for the championship in that season. The same also applies to 12 hour events. 14. The title of Association Lady Champion shall be awarded annually to the Lady member with the highest average speed in any one year in Time Trials of 25, 50 and 100 miles. She shall hold the Championship trophy for one year and shall recieve the Association Medal. Only Association Tricycle, Veterans and Open events held in the North DC of the CTT will be eligible for this Championship. All claims for the Championship must be made to the Association Recorder not later than 30th September of each year. (Association combined club events do not count). Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the rider's first claim club, which must be affiliated to the Association. 14a. If fewer than two 100 mile events are held in any one season on L courses, times recorded in 100 mile events on D and J courses will be eligible for the championship. If more than one 100 mile event is held on L courses in a season, times recorded on D and J courses will not be eligible for the Championship in that season. 15. The title Association Junior Champion shall be awarded annually to the junior member with the highest average speed in any one year in two time Trials of 10 miles and two Time Trials of 25 miles. He/She will be presented with the Beacon Trophy, which He/She will retain for one year and shall recieve the Association medal. Only Association tricycle and Open events held in the North DC of the CTT will be eligible for this Championship. All qualifying claims for this Championship must be made to the recorder not later than 30th September of each year. Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first name club, which must be affiliated to the Association. A competitor becomes a Junior on his/her 16th birthday, and remains eligible to compete as a Junior until 31st December of the year in which he/she becomes 18 years of age. 16. The Association Team Shield and three Association Medals shall be awarded annually to the affiliated club any three of whose members shall have the highest mean average speed in any one year based upon the same calculations as apply to the Association Championship. Where a rider changes clubs during the season, all qualifying performances for Association Team Championships must be done as a member of the new club. 17. The Founders Trophy and Association Medal shall be awarded annually to the member making fastest time in Association's 100 mile time trial. If the winner of the event is an Association member then only a medal for Fastest Award will be given. Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first claim club which must be affiliated to the Association. 18. The Palmer Shield and Association Medals shall be awarded annually to the fastest affiliated team of three riders in the Association Open 100. If the fastest team are also the open team award winners, then only one set of medals will be awarded. When a rider changes clubs during the season, all qualifying performances for Association Team Championships must be done as a member of the new club. 19. The Wye Valley Trophy and Association Medal shall be awarded annually to the member who, in the 12 hour time trial promoted by the Association, and never having finished in any other 12 hour time trial, shall cover a distance nearest to that of the event winner. If in any year the Association does not promote a 12 hour time trial, the trophy shall be awarded on the same basis in respect of any other 12 hour event promoted within the area of the North District Council of the CTT. Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first claim club, which must be affiliated to the Association. 20. The Westhoughton 70 Trophy and Medal will be awarded annually to the fastest Association Junior member competing in the Association Junior 10. If the fastest junior member is also the winner of the event, then only one medal will be awarded. Junior classification is defined in Reg. 15 above. Claims will only be accepted for rides done in the name of the riders first claim club, which must be affiliated to the Association
